Below is the list of the National Open University of Nigeria Nursing Science courses that are available for registration in the 2023 first semester. The list features both “non-examinable” and “examinable” courses for all Nursing students of the university for this semester.
The National Open University’s Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree is a response to the need to provide access to university education for many nurses in clinical practice who may not be able to quit their jobs for higher-level study despite professional demand. The curriculum aims on improving these practitioners’ knowledge and abilities so that they may operate as professional nurses with a sound scientific foundation who are highly competitive when compared to others anywhere in the globe.

Admission Requirements.
Candidates applying for admission to the B.NSc Nursing Programme must fulfill the following University admission requirements:
- At least five (5) credit passes in the following subjects in no more than two sittings of the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASCE/SSCE/NECO) exams:
- English is the official language.
- Mathematics
- Medical science or biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
In addition to (1) above, applicants must submit the following:
- Certificates of Registration as a Registered Nurse from the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- A valid Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council practice license.
- You must have six months of work experience and a letter of attestation from your current site of clinical practice to be registered.
